By now, we have all heard of the horror of the Las Vegas attack. Fifty-nine people who were loved and part of the lives of their parents, spouses, children and friends have been slaughtered in the name of nothing!
Over five hundred others were wounded by this demon possessed man. There I said it. Demons. Yes they exist and inhabit people. This is part of the story of the Bible. People are inhabited by demons and by God’s power they can be cast out.
Legions of psychiatrists are going to analyze and discuss what was this fool’s motivation. Plain and simple. He was a demonic who took the lives of these innocent people.
Jesus said, “He (the Devil) was a murderer from the beginning.” John 8:44
Murder is the drive and goal of the Devil. It is not only physical death but ultimately, eternal death. This is because he himself was condemned to this punishment when he rebelled against God. The expression “misery loves company” is epitomized in the Devil.
Life is so precious. Cherish what God has given you and thank him for it. Live each day with joy and in service to others.
Pray for the friends and families of the people who have lost their lives and pray for those who were wounded. May God strengthen each one of them.
