January 3rd

The New Year has come and gone. 2012 is here and the question is, “Will this year be any different?”

Unequivocally, I can say yes for you if you do one thing, “choose wisely”. Joshua, in the Book of Joshua, said, “Choose you this day who you will serve. As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.”

Joshua 24.15

Life is more about the choices we make than about the things that happen to us. Difficulty will unfortunately come in some form or another in your life. That is the way it is. But circumstances don’t determine who you are, your choices and your response to those circumstances make you.

Joshua chose to follow the Lord. He made a conscious decision to follow God. Whatever happened whether good or bad he stuck to this and his life was a great success.

What choices are you making today? If you are not satisfied with an area of your life, make a choice to change in that area. Little things are what determine our actions not big things. I would like to wave a magic wand over some areas of my life and change them. But that’s a fantasy. Life changes come over time and in small ways.

Jesus said, “He that is faithful in little things, will be faithful also in much.” Luke 16.10

Choose to work diligently this year in little things and watch the big things change.
